Night Cap - Band Saint Paul Concert reviews
Wonderful performance ... but
I was so excited when I saw I could buy these! I thought I had great seats, row 6 in the PIT seat very center 310. Perhaps we were slightly too close to enjoy the symphony at its best but we still tremendously enjoyed the music nonetheless! And it was just about perfect, close enough to see Anthony Daniels directly without needing to watch the screen!
To my chargin, there was a rather imposing (OK, very thin but tall) microphone tree above the conductor that intruded upon my visual enjoyment of the center of the screen. However, if we were in Orchestra maybe 10 rows back, I'm certain it wouldn't have bothered me, but I saw little benefit for its position and every detraction to my enjoyment.
While the movie collage was very enjoyable, I feel too much video of the symphony was used. I was there to see the movies, not the performers! I also found it distracting that scenes were shown out of order (an Ep3 then Ep1, then Ep4 for example, or a series of event scenes in the same episode in seemingly random order) for what was supposed to be a tribute or storyline for a character or event. I was also bothered by the method to include a frequent number of unrelated scenes during a character montage (one on Han Solo and the Millennium Falcon, for example, included a number of scenes unrelated to him in Ep 1-3).
Other than that, we enjoyed the montage as well as the individual displays on all 4 floors of Nokia theatre. We had a blast watching the people who dressed in character and one fan shared their light saber for us to take a pic of me battling a Battle Droid!
